Post How can we help?

I created GovernanceCommittee.com to support the work of Governance Committees at a critical time when boards are undergoing many rapid changes. In many cases, changes are being forced upon boards by regulators and shareholders without sufficient reflection about the impact and implications of the changes. I believe that, whereas the primary role of the board is to monitor and direct the activities of the business, the primary role of a Governance Committee is to monitor and direct the activities of the board. Governance Committees have a duty and an opportunity to play a proactive, leadership role in shaping the future of their boards' structure and practices. GovernanceCommittee.com is a multifaceted platform for delivering the resources progressive Governance Committees need to be effective leaders in transforming the corporate governance practices of their boards to create conditions conducive for the business to fulfill its mission and achieve its strategic objectives.

However, more and more resources are becoming available to boards and their committees from educational and professional institutions, professional and advisory services, technology and outsourced business process providers, researchers and analysts, various internal and external stakeholders, among other sources. So what's missing? And how can the content, delivery and/or consumption of current supporting resources be improved to help improve the performance and evolve the role of Governance Committees?

I look forward to engaging with you in enlightening discussions that provide valuable insights into what more can be done and how we at GovernanceCommittee.com can help.
